This is a lovely Melissa compact with an enamelled roses decoration on the lid. It's in a very good vintage condition. There's a tiny bit of enamel loss on the lid which you can see near to the hinge. The hinge and clasp both work as they should and the mirror inside is in good condition. It flicks open with a good mechanism. The underneath has a diamond shaped engine turned decoration. However, there is some tarnishing and a shallow dent on the underneath due to its age. Deep foundation pan. Can be used for pressed or loose powder. You will find this item to be the perfect addition to any vintage cosmetic collection.
Compact measures 2 1/2" by 2 5/8" - niegther original puff nor powder inside.
